Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Holter Scanning Technician, where you will play a vital role in capturing and analyzing cardiac electrical activity to assist in diagnosing heart conditions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge diagnostic equipment, ensuring accurate data collection and contributing to patient health outcomes. If you are detail-oriented, enthusiastic about healthcare technology, and eager to make a difference, this role is perfect for you! Pay will be per holter/scan.
Responsibilities
- Operate Holter monitors and related recording devices efficiently, ensuring high-quality data capture during the monitoring period.
- Monitor the equipment periodically to verify proper functioning and address any technical issues promptly.
- Collect, review, and analyze recorded data to identify abnormal heart rhythms or other cardiac irregularities.
- Document all procedures accurately within patient records and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare teams to interpret findings and prepare detailed reports for diagnosis.
- Maintain equipment calibration, cleanliness, and inventory to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven knowledge of medical terminology related to cardiology and diagnostic procedures.
- Prior experience working with Holter monitors or similar cardiac monitoring devices is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple patient records effectively.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare professionals in a professional manner.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings or weekends if required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in cardiovascular technology or related fields is a plus.
